Visa Appointment through Visa HotlineVisa Hotline Information
As of 1 April 2007, you will need an appointment to apply for a Schengen visa with the Netherlands Embassy. You may do so by calling our Visa Hotline: 021-22568553. This line is open from 13:00-16:00 on Sunday-Wednesday.
To make an appointment, keep the following information at hand:
- your full name
- your passport number
- purpose of your travel
- date of appointment most convenient to you and avoid standing in line for hours.
On the Visa Hotline:
- you can ask for visa application information and instructions.
- find out if you have to come in person to apply for a visa.
- check the status on your visa application (keep the application number at hand)
Can I apply for a visa without an appointment?
The Embassy limits its number of applicants on a daily basis to ensure fast processing of incoming visa applications. That is why you should always make an appointment in advance. Should you, in emergency cases, need to hand in your application without an appointment, you will need to appear in person and see if the number of applicants have not already exceded its maximum for that day. In other words, to come to the Embassy without an appointment does not guarantee you can apply on that day.
