What documents do you need to apply for a Schengen Visa?

The number and kind of documents needed to apply for a visa depends on country specific circumstances and the purpose of your travel. Supporting documents are required to determine if your visit might threaten public safety, national and/or international relations and if you were ever denied entrance into Schengen territory in the past. Also the purpose of your travel will be evaluated to rule out illegal immigration.

The documents mentioned are an indication of what you could bring to support your visa application. It is recommended that you carefully check which documents could be helpful in your specific case. Should you need more or other documents, you will be informed accordingly during the visa application interview.
