What is the visa application procedure

What is the procedure within the Embassy when I apply?

As of 1 April 2007, you will need to call the Embassy in advance to make an appointment to apply for your visa. Please call: 021-22568553 to make an appointment on a date of your choice.

Upon entry in our Embassy, you will be asked to wait in our waiting area until your name is called. You will proceed to the visa counter to hand in your visa application and to be interviewed. Your application and documents are collected and checked to see if all is complete. Should you be missing documents, you will be notified by a letter indicating the documents that you have to submit and an appointment when to hand in your complete application.

Once your application is complete, you pay the visa fees of the exchange of € 60 in Rls. You receive a receipt as proof of payment and the visa application number is written in your passport for future reference. You will take the passport with you, the application form will stay at the Embassy.

The Embassy will contact you in writing or by telephone once a decision on your application has been made. This may take from 2 weeks until 3 months. Make sure you apply on time to avoid disappointments. Once you have purchased your ticket and insurrance and confirmed your hotel booking if applicable, you may come to the Embassy with your passport to collect the visa.

You may hand in your passport in the morning and collect it later that day or the next day.

For questions, please contact our Visa Hotline 021-22568553 on Sunday-Wednesday from 13:30-15:30.
